According to the complaint filed by the victim, the accused brothers, identified as Puneet alias Gutki and Chetan, allegedly threw a brick into the complainant’s house on June 19. The incident was reportedly captured on a CCTV camera installed at the residence, providing visual evidence of the act.
The complainant further alleged that whenever he or his family members stepped outside the house, the accused would harass his wife and threaten to record her video with the intention of uploading it on social media. The accused allegedly pressured the woman to communicate with them and, upon refusal, issued threats to kill the complainant, his wife, and their children.
The sustained intimidation has reportedly forced the entire family to stop leaving their home, living in constant fear, and considering leaving Jahangirpur town altogether. The complainant stated that the hostile environment has effectively pushed the family toward displacement from the locality.
The complaint also references a previous violent altercation dated March 4, when the two accused, along with their father Kalicharan, allegedly assaulted the complainant, his wife, and his mother. Following that incident, a case had already been registered against the accused at the local police station.
Based on the latest complaint, police have registered a report and initiated an investigation into the matter. Authorities are examining all allegations, including prior incidents and CCTV evidence, as part of the ongoing inquiry.
The case highlights escalating concerns over repeated intimidation and violence within residential neighborhoods, where fear and alleged harassment have now forced an entire family into social withdrawal and possible displacement.
